Using FixKnights

These terms explain the boundaries of the FixKnights website and limited Austin call-connection launch.

FixKnights is launching a call-connection platform intended to help Austin homeowners reach participating independent HVAC companies. Supported ZIP codes, operating hours, availability, and launch features may be limited or changed.
Independent contractors
FixKnights does not perform HVAC work. Participating contractors are independent businesses—not FixKnights employees, agents, or representatives.
FixKnights does not direct a contractor’s diagnosis, pricing, scheduling, workmanship, safety practices, or job completion.
No service guarantees
A match or telephone connection does not guarantee contractor availability, pricing, diagnosis, arrival time, suitability, workmanship, or job completion.
Customers should evaluate the contractor and confirm current licensing, insurance, pricing, and service terms.
Not an emergency service
Do not rely on FixKnights for fire, suspected gas leaks, carbon monoxide, medical emergencies, or immediate danger. Call 911 or the appropriate utility or emergency service.
Acceptable use
Users may not misuse the website or service, submit false information, interfere with operations, impersonate another person or business, scrape protected systems, or use FixKnights for unlawful activity.
Fees and contractor agreements
FixKnights does not charge homeowners for the Austin launch connection service. Contractor participation is free during the founding pilot. Future platform pricing, if any, is to be announced.
Any diagnostic, service, or repair charges are agreed directly between the homeowner and independent contractor.
Limitations and updates
To the extent permitted by law, FixKnights is not responsible for independent contractor services or losses arising from an unavailable or unsuccessful connection.
These terms may be updated as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
